IF + Anti-Inflammatory / Mediterranean Diet?

Anyone out there tried this? I have been doing IF for a year but want to try the anti-inflammatory (AI) diet because of some separate health issues. Interested in hearing anyone’s experience.

In the research I’ve done on AI it talks about multiple servicing of fruits/veggies/etc. a day but I’m currently doing OMAD, so curious if it will still be effective.

I still have a decent amount of weight to lose (especially with the holidays!) but this will definitely be difficult to add AI to my IF. Appreciate anyone’s feedback!

Answer

IF is anti-inflammatory as is. Going for long periods of time without food decreases monocytes (inflammatory cells) and increase autophagy (your body getting rid of bad cells).

I do an 18/6 and my first meal is ALWAYS 6-7 eggs, elk sausage, and kimchi. I’ll then have a small snack which is usually just a handful of unsalted/unroasted almonds, cashews, and pistacchios. For my last meal, I’ll usually have a large veggie salad with a 1/4 cup of quinoa and use my own keto dressing that I make.

I’ve never felt better.
