Just occurred to me the other day that I’m somehow sticking to a 20-4 schedule while working as a cook, surrounded by food my entire work day.
I also use cannabis for chronic pain and inflammation, and the munchies are real….
I know your pain , been a line cook my whole life, been doing IF off and on for several years now mostly OMAD. It gets easier. I drink lots of coffee and water. Honestly , been eating the food there for a long time so it’s not something I really miss, but when I pull a grilled cheese off the flat top and see a nice good sear and smell that butter and Romano cheese as I cut into it….🤤.
All you need to do is IF 3-4 days of week to keep your body in that metabolism. You could cheat a bit 1-2 days a week IMO. Im doing 18/6 IF and i cheat because I also am to a stoner. But I keep the cheat meal small like under 300-400 calories.
