IF for acne while also lifting weight for strength/muscle gain.

So I’m a man in my mid 30s. I’ve always had some acne problems, but it all pretty much went away when I did OMAD two years ago for two months. Now, in the last four months, I’ve been dedicated to lifting weights five days a week and also eating more to bulk up, which has caused more acne issues. I want to have some balance and was thinking about doing a 8:16 fast, but I’m concerned it might impact my strength/muscle gains. Is this something that I would have to accept as a tradeoff? Or the impact is probably not that significant? Also, additionally, is there something I can do to improve my acne condition that was helped by fasting? Like increase insulin sensitivity? Cut out sugar? Thanks!

Dude of similar age. Sugar is my trigger, gotta cut that crap.

Also if you haven’t already look into coconut oil. I use that as a face cleanser and also as a healthy fat for cooking and eating. It nourishes the skin with all those healthy fats.

IF with fasting, cutting sugar, alcohol and fatty and spicy foods did amazing things to my skin. I started eating curry recently (homemade, less spicy, and definitely less fatty), and it didn’t affect my skin condition. There are probably a lot of reasons why it is looking so much better, like higher water intake, switching to good fats and not overeating them, and so on. I eat whole foods now.

What is helping me when I’m sweaty is heat my face with fairly hot water and washing my face with silicon brush with water and some facewash. It’s very delicate, and it’s massage skin nicely, open and clean skin pores and stimulating lymphatic system. Which should help clean toxins below the skin surface. It’s simple but helpful in my case.
