IF for high inflammation and autoimmune? Does it work?

Hello everyone! I have autoimmune conditions, thyroid problems and also iron deficiency and I was looking into IF coupled with no wheat/sugar/dairy to see if it could help me lower my very high inflammation markers and help me absorb iron. Has anyone had success with reversing inflammation or controlling autoimmune? Maybe even going from iron deficient to not? If so, what was your protocol? I’ve only been reading how IF helps with sugars but I haven’t read about iron, or autoimmune.

Answer

I am a 51 year old male who suffers rheumatoid arthritis. IF has definitely reduced my inflammatory markers, and I have a lot less pain. The mechanism seems to be just allowing the body to rest and repair.

I doubt IF will address iron deficiency, though. Perhaps eat red meat in your eating window… but I’d say you’ll still need to supplement iron.
