IF isn't just about losing weight, it's about fixing your caloric needs.

This revelation dawned upon me last night. I brought home some takeaway to watch soccer game. Keep in mind that I’ve been consistently doing 20 hour fasts for about 2 weeks now. Okay, takeaway.

Watching the game, eating food, and it surprised me how hard I tried, I couldn’t complete the food. This was surprising to me because I could easily polish this off before I started fasting, but now that I’ve been hungry for the entire day, I still can’t finish it. That’s wild.

This is a sign that my body is returning back to its normal state. It knows how many calories it needs and just can’t eat that much. Thanks IF.

Answer

Your stomach shrinks and expands with how much food you’re eating. If you’re used to eating big meals 3x a day then ya you can eat more in one sitting than if you’re used to eating 2 properly portioned meals a day

Answer

Yeah fasting if I’m really observant about it…. Makes me hungry (really hungry) not boredom is maybe once a day, I can audibly hear my stomach growling for 10 minutes… Because of the expectation of food… Not because of the absence of food ;)

Another thing is when you start eating properly and have enough calories you notice that you could actually eat less to meet your needs 3 plates, becomes 2 plates becomes 1 plate with snacks which is essentially OMAD territory… The stomach actually becomes smaller and the process of widening it back up is somewhat painful, discomforting
