IF Must Have Products and Food?

I’ve been intermittent fasting for about 3 years now and have slowly progressed towards a 20/4 eating schedule. I found this to be the best for me as I no longer feel hungry, have energy for my workouts and have kept a consistent weight.

However, I do eat large volumes of food and sometimes end up going to bed with a full stomach and wake up bloated.

I don’t want to change the times in which I eat (3-7pm) so I was wondering, for all my fellow intermittent fasters, what brands or products do you buy to help with bloating? And why do you buy them?

If you don’t have any issues with bloating and have had success with IF, what other products do you buy on a regular basis?

Any information would be very helpful!

Answer

I don’t have problems with bloating on IF. I had them before, though. I take vitamins and minerals in one-a-day and some extras (D3 + calcium, Omega - 3).Protein shakes help me add more protein to my menu. Just recently, I started with psyllium husk. We will see how that goes.Electrolytes during fasting window. They are life saver for me. No more headaches! No more hunger pangs and cravings! No more painkillers and medication on digestive issues!

‘Super’ foods I swear by due to affordable and easy to add to electrolyte drinks, are spices and cocoa powder (100% pure). For the electrolytes, I only use a Lo-salt 50Na-40K-9Mg, which is super duper cheap and very effective. To adjust against constipation, whipped cream can be very effective.

Side note - my success hinges far far more on a non-food supplement though: Tanning. I never tried ADHD-meds/amphetamine, but based on what I heard, tanning has a similar effect on me.

Side note 2 - I found lots of OPPOSING research too, regarding the claim that eating late is bad. My eating window has been centered around 6pm for 15+ years, and for me it works better in every aspect imaginable, compared to eating earlier in the day - yes I tested it on multiple occasions.
