I am planning to start my 16:8 IF schedule 12 pm to 8 pm.
My main goal is to lose weight.
On days that I occasionally go out with friends to eat past 8 pm I am planning to fast till 4 pm to - 10 pm .
I am wondering for the next day is it OK to go back on my regular 12 to 8. Does it lose benefit if I'm not fasting long enough on days I go out to eat ?

IF is really flexible. You can have your eating window whenever you want. The benefits come from getting enough fasting hours on average. So if you fast a little less one day and fast a little longer on the next day, it’s okay.
