A water fast where the only liquid they consume is water, not where the only thing they consume is water. Do cereal and yogurt count?
Ngl I’m wheezing a little bit at “water fast”
Not to discredit whatever it is, but… pfft
Edit: after thinking about it… I think you actually have to dehydrate the yogurt for that to count. nods sagely
A water fast by definition, is where the only thing you consume is water. Maybe tea and coffee with nothing added. Sometimes a multivitamin or electrolytes are also consumed. But nothing besides that, including no cereal or yogurt.
I am not recommending a water fast, they have a number of serious risks and little proven health benefits.
This sub is about scientific evidence or conversation for whatever the topic of the day is. If your rule is only consume water for liquids then it probably counts, but hard to understand the science behind drink water only and then eat other foods of any sort
if you’re doing a water fast for a medical procedure, then it’s just water. but actually fasting for medical procedures are usually not even drinking water either. but if you’re doing a water fast for… i’m guessing yourself, don’t do it. there’s many risks and practically no benefits to it.
