IF with naturally low blood pressure

Im a 21f and I’ve been doing IF for a few weeks now again, after having to stop during Christmas when I got covid. My eating hours are 1-9pm. I naturally have low blood pressure, around 110 systolic, 65 diastolic. When I go to school in the mornings these days (6.30AM) I feel very tired. More than I would normally do. I’ve been feeling dizzy and falling asleep on the bus and in class. I was wondering if the fast could possibly be lowering my already low blood pressure, and that’s why I’ve been feeling this way. Or is that not something that is likely to happen? Should I see a doctor?

Answer

Salt. You need salt.

I nearly died from low blood pressure in my early twenties. I got all of these tests done… Turns out the overwhelming majority of people with low blood pressure don’t intake nearly enough salt.

Yes, regular table salt, you heard me correctly.

Don’t take in an excess of potassium, either. It offsets the work of sodium.
