I finally found a reliable calibration in IF. I’m 55(M) and eat once a day. I’ve done this for the past eight years. I’ve maintained 40lb weight loss 228 >188 for 8 years. I’ve gotten down to 177 running 40 miles a week 2019 and as high as 197 during pandemic (2020) but for the most part I’m happy with how I’m hovering around 188 +-5lbs
Edit: currently in 120 hour fast
My mother was slim her whole life and only ate one meal per day. She said it was from when she was an air stewardess and had no time to eat. But for years and years her secret was to drink coffee in the morning, and then tea until dinner and then a big yummy dinner. Her only other rule was she never ate breat or potatoes but other carbs were ok. She was still water skiing at 70!
My biology professor once told me that, besides what you eat, it also depends on your galactose storage. If you have a large storage for galactose, your body can naturally and easily eat once a day. It helps with organising your use of energy in the body.Of course, if you eat a bigmac you are getting hungry faster again than eating legumes, but I just want to explain why its easier for some and harder for others.
