If you’re not strict you’re not doing it. At your young age I’m guessing nutrition and eating is poor. And this isn’t a program where you do it for a week and you get miraculous results.
Do it for a month. Walk 30 minutes a day. Drink lots of water. Seriously, a lot of water. And start listening to your body. What is actual hunger. Are you snacking? Do you need to? Or are you snacking because you’re bored?
18:6 fasting allowed me to reconnect with myself. To recognize actual hunger. To stop snacking all the time. Over three months, no food restrictions, I’m down 20 pounds. Before that I wouldn’t drop weight to save my life. I hope you can find the same success I have. Just start it and stick with it for a month.
I don’t lose weight on 16:8 I have to do more like 20:4 or OMAD. I also do 3-5 day fasts every 2 months. (5’7 female went from 204-165lbs…I’m now pregnant & not fasting but will be again once I’m done breastfeeding to lose the weight again)
Are you eating whole foods? No pasta, no rice, no potatoes. No pop, cereal, etc.
Check out Mediterranean diet or paleo diet. Those eating plans are healthy for weight loss with IF and long term maintenance once you’ve lost the weight.
