Incessantly watching food recipes and videos

So I do fasting for losing wieght and health reasons ( if not carefull I bleed in the bathroom).

I do minimum 24 hour fasts, up to 72 is my limit (although I want to try a 1 month liquid fast, my friend did it and said hes felt changed ever since). Any to the point: During these fasts I like to fantasize about my breakfast, usually some extravagent home made meal. I have completely stopped going to restaurants, except for drinks, because I want my meals to be worth it. As in quality, flavor, etc.

Do you guys do this as well or just me? And do you find watching cooking videos helps you on your fast or no?

I do OMAD with full day fasts Monday-Wednesday-Friday. When I first got started I definitely baked a lot and actually cooked food and sweets on my fasted days - it made no sense to me but preparing food calmed my stress of not having any? I’m not a month into the more strict protocol and I really stopped the behavior.

I think if you find yourself doing it periodically it’s ok but if you start obsession - may be try to do a hobby instead.

This will be very ironic, but I watch competitive eaters shove down humongous amounts of foods to help hunger when I’m fasting. Somehow it works for my brain!

I also definitely fantasize about my planned breakfast and lunch for the next day, and I almost always eat home cooked meals as well.

This probably isn’t healthy at all, but it is what it is for me.
