Intermittent fasting and muscle gain/ weight loss

Hello! I’m new here. I currently weigh 160 at 5”4’ and I would like to be where I was at least 145 which is were I was comfortable with before having both my kids. Thanks to two c sections I have stubborn belly fat. I have been on a steady weight lifting four-five days a week and cardio at least twice a week. I decided to implement IF as well as counting calories as a weigh to lose more weight but I’m just wondering what the best way to go about losing fat/building muscle and the IF lifestyle. I am a newbie so any advice is appreciated.

Answer

If you’re weight training during your fast time you’re not likely to see a lot of gains, however you if you’re trying to loose fat, the fast period is the ideal time to do your moderate cardio for calorie/fat burn. If you’re looking to build muscle, your muscles need fuel to burn and build so best to do while you’re fed.
