Intermittent fasting cured my acid reflux

I’ve had really bad acid reflux on and off over the past few years, probably brought on by excessive alcohol consumption. After a couple weeks of intermittent fasting it was completely cured. Now it’s been several months and I can count the amount of times I’ve had reflux on one hand.

If you have reflux, I urge you to try IF out.

One of the reasons I started IF again was because my acid reflux had become so bad I had been taking OTC proton pump inhibitors (Prilosec) for months. I’m completely cured now too. It works! I close my feeding window no later than 6pm, but prefer to close it at 4pm.

I have very bad acid reflux (also from on and off excessive alcohol consumption and probably just a n unhealthy diet on top of that) and I just started IF yesterday. I would be delighted if this is something that occurs for me as well. I’ll keep it in mind. Thank you for sharing!

I have acid reflux and take omeprazerole (sp?) for it everyday. I haven’t tried stopping my medication to see if IF has reduced the chances of it. I’m a little bit scared to to be honest because when my heartburn kicks in it takes mountains of Tums to tame it.
