Answer

If 8 grams of saturated fat per day was too much, all of your primate ancestors for the past 200 million years would have died from atherosclerosis, and all of your early civilized human ancestors from the past 6000 years of eating tallow, milk, coconut oil, ghee, butter, and all of the modern-day people in France would have died horrible deaths from strokes.

Saturated fat isn’t inherently bad. Eating saturated fat in the form of factory-farmed red meat fed chicken feces and grains covered in fungicides and glyphosate is bad for you.

Just eat saturated fat from good sources like quality dairy and virgin coconut oil, and stay active, you will be fine.

Answer

The UK government have official guidelines called Dietary Reference Values (DRV’s). If you Google this and click on the linked document which should appear first, it has tons of information including tables for men & women (of course not including other genders) for all ages and for all macro and micronutrients.

Answer

isn’t 8 grams like a glass of milk? an avocado? some cheese cubes?

all these % of daily value metrics are a way for you to consume more food than you need.

Eat quality food to satiety and you’ll be fine.
