Is all glucose passed through the liver before distribution?

When someone feels sluggish and then has a sugar/glucose hit they can may perk up quite rapidly.

When this occurs does the ingested sugar/glucose source still go through the liver or once in the small intetsine can it bypass the liver and go staright to the bloodstream?

Answer

No, it can’t bypass ,you seem confused on how Glucose is absorbed. Lett Me Explain

If you are low on Glucose, Liver uses its glycogen to help you feel less sluggish and if you then have a huge dose of Glucose, the body puts it to good use. So,If you have taken sugar more than required amount ,it takes the rest in the stomach, sends it to the intestines ,absorbs the nutrients ,sends them to the liver ,where it releases it to the bloodstream and stores some (if needed) as glycogen In the liver.

Doesn’t matter how much sugar you consume, the process is still same. Hope you understood well.
