I’ve been hitting the gym lately and went from doing IF to small frequent meals since when I started going back to the gym during my fasting period, I felt like I don’t have the energy to push myself to fatigue, which is weird cause I remember loving running on my peak fasting hours (I used to do 18-6). Is this a mental thing or is anyone consistently hitting the gym here while on their fasting period?
PS: I work graveyard so working before work starts is not an option, gym is still closed before I start working.
How long have you been working graveyard shifts? I worked overnights one summer and it killed my lifts. That was a long time ago fresh out of high school when I could recover more than now. It may be a sleep issue. Also, how long have you been IF? I don’t feel much difference between working out fasted or not.
I know I need to start working out, just gotta do the thing. Yes I have gotten lazy when it comes to working out and at one point this summer was seeing progress. Tomorrow is a new day and another opportunity to improve.
I do ADF and work out 6 days a week. I am trying to get a physically intense job and I find out if I get it in 3 weeks time. If I get it I will be much more physically active than I am now even if I do hit the gym every day. It doesn’t matter if I am on a fast day or not, the gym is a non negotiable if I want to be able to do my job, so I go.
Currently at the job I’m trying to replace I work graveyard. I go to the gym straight from work before I go home to sleep.
