is anyone not hungry after fasting?

I just started fasting a week or two ago and I’m never hungry when I finish. I forced myself to eat a hard boiled egg, but I’m absolutely stuffed. Is this normal? I only ate 800 calories yesterday and burned about 500 of them through daily exercise. I feel just fine, not light headed or anything. I just want to make sure that is normal?

Sorry for the worry!

Answer

That’s why I strongly believe that fasting should also include occasional traditional FEASTING. Everything in moderation - including moderation. Traditional orthodox inspired Mediterranean diets revolved around times of fasting, collective feasting and moderation in between. I believe that “holiday” feasting on high quality protein, fat and more variety ( with the occasional sweets and alcohol included aiding prolonged festivity, and appetite) should be high priority to health & well being along with a fasting regime.

I’m new too (2+ months)…and I have the same thing. I’m told it’s normal…but it feels weird! I’m learning to slowly listen to my body and not force food if I am not hungry. Basically I am just keeping track of my fasts and not being too rigid with myself.
