it’s only ingredients are carbonated water and natural flavor and i find the taste really good but is it a good fit for a flavored drink?
The current ‘consensus’ is that there’s no evidence plain carbonated water is unsafe. ‘Natural flavors’ are GRAS by the FDA (generally recognized as safe).
So, based on that, there’s currently no reason to say they’re not safe to drink regularly.
That said, just keep reading the labels/ingredients and check when trying new stuff. Salts, sugars, and phosphates all change the equation.
Also, this tiny study indicates increased ghrelin (hunger) in response to the gas. Based on what I know from other studies on ghrelin, that’s probably more a matter of a biological response to the physical effect of the carbonation (bloating).
So, if you find it makes you hungrier/eat more, adjust as you see fit.
Just a heads up, carbonated water can do awful things to your teeth. CO2 is really acid so you are changing the pH of the water when you add it. The odd drink won’t hurt but if just drinking carbonated water all day (with or without flavours) you could be damaging the enamel on your teeth over time.
My dentist advised me on a recent visit to rinse my mouth out with water after drinking carbonated water. Brush your teeth if you can. Unfortunately “fizzy water” is very bad for your teeth and can cause bone loss and softness (in teeth). Not recommended as a regularly consumed beverage.
A soda maker + commercial 100% juice will be less expensive long-term and tastier!
But Bubly is indeed good stuff! I was ready to buy regular packs until Amazon did me dirty with the bs “oh we can’t send you Bubly boxes at your address anymore”.
