Is cheese considered a nutritious food outside of being high in calories?

From what I know it’s a very nutrient dense food, but gets a bad wrap because it is high in calories.

But it seems like if calories weren’t an issue, there are plenty of good things in cheese that it could be considered healthy

Answer

Vitamin A, b12, calcium, k2(if fermented enough). It is just what I can remember from my head. I suggest you to consume high quality european hard aged cheeses like Parmigiano, Pecorino, Gruyere, Gouda. They tend to breakdown the casein protein into more digestible type and as far as I know, Italian, Swiss and French cows are A2 so betacaseomorphin-7 is not a concern. There is a population in Sardinia and their main source of animal protein is Sheep and Goat Dairy. But remember, everything in moderation. 30-50 g per day is fine.

Answer

There is nothing in cheese that you couldn’t source more effectively from another source.

Anyone who thinks otherwise hasn’t searched very hard.

It also has tons of stuff that isn’t particularly great for you.

But every time anyone suggests that cheese = bad y’all forget how to think rationally.

In terms of nutritional value, your average cheese is C tier.
