I chew gum a lot for my teeth, it’s the Pur sugar free gum which is xylitol based, just wanted to ask if I can have it during my 10 day water fast.
Do you really need it for your teeth, especially when you’re not eating? It might send confusing signals to the body and keep you fixated on chewing. You want to get your mind off your mouth. Use a little baking soda on your toothbrush if your teeth feel dirty.
Chewing gum increases insulin so maybe technically it does even if because you are not eating then technically it doesn’t. Important to question why you are fasting in the first place and how much this matters to you and maybe not worry about being so technical about it.
