Answer

coconut sugar does one very important thing for me: allows me to enjoy something sweet (like my coffee) without the addiction feeling, the pull, for more sweets afterwards. My body doesn’t recognize coconut sugar like it does cane sugar.

If you feel like sugar calls to you, switch to coconut and see if it doesn’t alleviate the more more more problem.

Answer

Sugar is sugar, but there are a few alternative sweeteners like xylitol, monk fruit and stevia that don’t have calories or have fewer calories, raise blood sugar less and in xylitol’s case make teeth stronger. Many people dislike stevia’s aftertaste, so I use it sparingly and only mixed with these other options.

Answer

For me “the proof is in the pudding.” I definitely feel different when I use coconut sugar over other sugars. Cane sugar makes me feel instantly zapped. It also makes my teeth wear sweaters and that doesn’t happen when I use coconut sugar.
