A doctor (neuro) told me that fasting is unhealthy and is the same as calorie restriction and after researching it some now I’m wondering what to believe.
I’ve read the studies on ketosis etc so I understand the biological mechanics of why people believe fasting to be healthier, however…
This is one of the top results when you search for cico and fasting. Aside from the low amount of participants, is there any actual evidence for fasting over calorie restriction?
Fasting is not about loosing weight I think that’s where your going bad about how you think about fasting, I fast to cleanse my body loosing weight is a by product of cleansing. Don’t view fasting as an alternative to weight loss. If you want to loose weight go exercise and count your calories. If you wanna cleanse your body mind and soul do some fasting then.
