Is it considered fasting if I eat a meal once every 48 hrs?

I tried doing a 7 day water fasting, and I started becoming extremely tired and fatigued after 27 hours that I ended up breaking my fast by eating a meal. As of now, I haven’t eaten anything in 15 hours and I feel great.

Seeing as there other people who eat once a day, and others fast for 3 days. Would it assist me with weight loss and improving my general health if I eat once every 2 days? For example, I eat breakfast today (Tuesday) and eat breakfast again on Thursday, and so on?

I could also try eating once every 24, that’s where I will start seeing that I became fatigued when I tried the 7 day fast at first. I think eating once a day can be done infinitely?

Of course, even shorter fasts are fasts… Eating once is every other day is OMEOD. It has a subreddit but it’s very inactive as it’s a pretty unusual and for most people, probably very tough type of intermittent fasting. I would worry about my muscles too, maybe I shouldn’t but 47 hours is still much all the time.

I thought about OMEOD before but I can’t like the idea. OMAD is nice but I eat too much in one sitting compared to my TDEE, I need to focus to eat a smallish meal. I surely would lose weight with OMEOD but I still can’t like the idea and it doesn’t seem right for long term. Besides, it’s very possible you can’t eat enough for 48 hours in one sitting after such a long fast. Or you can but it feels bad.

I think OMAD is a good start for me as for many and we can add a fasting day now and then, lowering the average calorie intake and possibly having other benefits due to the longer fasts.
