Is it dangerous to do intermittent fasting if I am not overweight?

I am a woman and 172cm tall and I weigh around 55 kilos, however I have read a lot about the longtime benefits of fasting so I really want to try it out. Do you think it is safe?

Answer

I am 1,86m, weighing now 72 KG. There is no indication for you for it being dangerous.

That said, I am not a medical doctor, if you have any doubts, best practice is to speak with your personal practitioner. They know your body best besides you and a consultation won’t hurt.

Answer

There is no dangers as long as you eat enough food when you eat - so your body gets the macros and micros it needs.

With you BMI I would spontaneously say that instead of skipping a meal, just put it closer to the rest so you don’t cut back on food.

The benefits are from the time your body rests :)
