Is it normal?

Is it normal to not see any difference in appearance after three weeks of 16/8 fasting? How long did it take some of y’all before seeing a difference?

16:8 is an entry level IF strategy designed to make you skip breakfast and presumably eat just “lunch” and “dinner”.

I’ve done 16:8 for years unintentionally because I woke up late but squeezed the 3 meals in there with snacks going from 150 to almost 220 lbs. Won’t work unless you’re using it as a strategy for CICO.

16:8 is barely fasting, see it as an entry to IF. It will work if you supplement it with cardio/ increased activity levels every day and ofc not eating junk.It’s very easy to squeeze in two meals, snacks and a lot of calories in 8 hour eating window. Calories are still calories no matter if you eat them in a 12, 8 or 4 hr window.. it’s not magic.

When you are ready, you should aim for 20:4 or OMAD to limit your daily caloric intake and give your body more time to go into fat burning ketosis. In 16:8 I’m 99,9% sure you haven’t been in ketosis even once.

I lost 8 pounds in a month with little dietary change. I also seem to have stalled at fifteen pounds lost after two months. But after reading this that sounds silly, so I’ll keep doing what I’m doing and see how it goes in month three.
