Is it normal to feel colder while doing IF?

Hey guys. I’ve done IF multiple times over the years and I’m currently a week into my new attempt. I’ve noticed that each time I do IF, I feel colder. When I go to bed I now wear sweatpants and a sweater whereas before I would be in shorts and a shirt. Is this a common occurrence? I’m not underweight by any means so I don’t think that’s the issue. For reference I’m 27F 5’5” 141lbs. Thanks.

Answer

Yup, at least for me. When I did it last winter I had to layer more. I think when I’m consuming those 2000 calories a day my body doesn’t worry about burning them for heat. When I get into a calorie deficit my body tries to be more efficient about it. Just my opinion but yeah… I feel it. (M 40s 220)
