If you are doing IF correctly and are seeing results, then any step to a healthier you is a good step. It will slow your progress, and so long as you aren’t being a glutton and destroying all your hard work, then I see nothing wrong with it.
I would use it as a reward after you reach a specific milestone in your personal journey.
I personally have reached (SW270 GW170) my goal weight, and I still IF to help maintain, but I take every Saturday off. I will enjoy breakfast with my family and have a glass of wine with my wife at night once the kids go to bed.
