Is it okay to consume high Saturated Fats/Carbs on OMAD Diet?

I know that the saturated fats conversation in this subreddit has always been very conflicting, and I acknowledge that the AHA has recommended a very low intake of saturated fats in your diet. But, anyone on the OMAD diet, since they’re mostly fasting, wouldn’t it change the way saturated fats/carbs impacts the body?

I mean….you’re eating one meal a day so I’m assuming that you’re aiming to get an entire day’s nutrition into one meal, which might look like high fat/high carb in a single sitting. Sitting down to a meal with 50-70+ grams of fat seems like it would be highly unpleasant. Plus your 50-100+g of protein, and your 100-300g of carbs (these are very ballpark numbers, not to be used personally. It looks high because you’re eating it all in one sitting.

No, meal timing (OMAD, intermittent fasting, etc) has not been shown to change the way that saturated fat raises blood cholesterol and therefore increases CVD risk.

Doing OMAD or IF does not change how saturated fat raises cholesterol. Look at the keto community - they are big into IF/OMAD but many still have high cholesterol if they are eating lots of saturated fat. You can see these comments everywhere.

If someone has data showing that meal timing (OMAD/IF) changes the way saturated fat interacts with blood cholesterol, please post it - I’m always excited to see new data.

Ps: OMAD and IF can absolutely have impacts on other things - appetite, satiety, lowering blood glucose excursions by reducing meal frequency, etc. But OP is specifically talking about guidelines recommending lowering SF, which are broadly aimed at lowering CVD risk by lowering total cholesterol.
