I know they are hard as a rock, but can this be healthy in a way. Like, nutrients isn’t boiled off when heating them up and they are like fresh vegetables in their prime state. Also it cleans the teeth in a way; like the foilage is rougher. Also it works out the jaw in a sense. Just wantes to see what y’all think. I mean I haven’t tried it yet, but if someone got used to it would it be healthier.
Your dentist would hate you and so would your tongue and throat, lol. Just put em in the microwave for a hot minute and season them. Raw vegetables aren’t actually all that healthier as cooking makes certain nutrients more bioavailable.
Frozen vegetables are actually pretty germy and are suggested to be steamed for this reason. Frozen vegetables, however, are lower in sugar and acidity, making them more susceptible to bacteria growth than fruits. The AFFI recommend that all frozen vegetables should always be cooked according to package instructions. If the package suggests to drain or rinse the vegetables, then they should be washed.
Cooking vegetables unlocks and makes available many nutrients available. So cooked veg are often more nutritious than uncooked veg.
While uncooked might start with more nutrition more of it will be locked up and pass through you than compared with cooked.
This varies on the vegetable and nutrient.
TLDR: Cook your veg, it’s healthier.
Frozen veg aren’t raw lol they are already partially cooked. They’ve already lost some nutrients
The only way to get all the nutrients all the time is to have a diet that has raw and cooked veg, and for those veg to be fresh picked (not fresh in the grocery store)
Just eat your veg normally, you won’t be healthier eating frozen food without warming it up
Most frozen veggies are blanched before they are frozen, so they are already partially cooked. However, blanching is not thorough enough cooking to kill all potential bacteria and contaminants. That’s why you should always heat frozen veggies according to the package directions.Do I always follow the instructions? Nah. Have I been fine up to this point? Yep. Would I risk never heating them before eating? Nope.
