Is it really necessary to clean the liver and intestines before starting a dry fast?

I just read Filonov‘s book and he said It is important to do these and should not fast without doing these cleanses first. I was hoping to avoid these and just start with a 20hr fast and work my way up.

Dude yes. I’m dealing with a lot of gas now due to dry fasts and build up of trapped gas because of a lack of water. Everyday I’m extremely uncomfortable. Don’t listen to people who say it’s no big deal. Dryfasting isn’t well researched and what we are all doing here is unprecedented in modern times. I get the argument that animals in nature just lay there to heal and not drink food or water, and that likely our ancestors dryfasted but our diets, health, and lifestyle is sooo different from how our ancestors were like that I don’t think we can compare the two. I respect the people on this sub who stress the importance of proper refeeds/rehydration and to take things easy. People who say they start a 3 day fast after eating junk for weeks and need to cleanse and think it’s no big deal to exercise hard 3 days in will eventually harm themselves and others with that advice.

It’s not a bad idea, on a dry fast you will use more of the fat in you for energy and water, your fat holds toxicity, I had to stop dry fasts because the released toxics gave me very bad headaches… so I had to slow down and detox in between fasts.. that particular time I was at 42 hours….
