Is it REALLY that bad to have creamer in your coffee while fasting?

I don’t like black coffee, it is what it is. If I fast for 48+ hrs and the only calories I have is about 100 cal a day in creamer, is it really that detrimental to my fast?

Answer

The pure fasting group would say yes. It is not a pure fast. The “dirty fast” group would say it is okay. I do “dirty fasts” and still lose weight. But I don’t know how it would effect the other benefits of fasting. It is okay for weight loss.

Answer

It probably wont hurt, but it wont be a true fast. But whatever works for each individual and one you can stick to is the best regiment.

In my honest opinion, I would say learn to like black coffee. If you start drinking it, after a week you will like it.

Good luck!

Answer

I do the same. Coffee is a lovely ritual and I refuse to give it up. And black coffee I just can’t do. I’ve tried and tried but…ew. FWIW 100 calories of milk or oatmilk etc is actually quite a lot. Could you switch from creamer which usually has sugar and additives to a TBSP of milk or cream instead? The fasting purists will say no but do what you gotta do!
