Is low-fat sour cream healthier than high-fat sour cream? If so, why is it cheaper?

Sour cream with 18% fat costs 1€ and sour cream with 30% fat costs 2€. I thought the former is healthier because less saturated fat = lower risk of cardiovascular disease, but then why is it cheaper? Why would people pay more money for something that's bad for them when there is a cheaper and healthier alternative?

Answer

95% of “diet” products are false. 1/2 the fat or calories often= filler like gelatin, carrageenan or bean gum replacing the pure product. 95% recidivism of those who “diet” outs the scam industry. They remove an ingredient essential to the product(wheat germ, milk fat ect.) and sell it to you in another product.
