Is my weight loss ok or too fast?

I started cutting calories on January 30, weighing 302 lbs. My next weigh in was February 10 and I weighed 297.6 lbs. I started intermittent fasting 15:9 5x weekly with cutting calories on February 13 and on my February 16 weigh in I was 294.8 lbs. The next week I continued 15:9 5x weekly intermittent fasting with calorie cutting and at my weigh in this morning, February 23, I was 287 lbs. So, I have lost 15 lbs. since January 30 and 7.8 lbs. since last weigh in on February 16. Maybe it’s water weight, I don’t look know. Does this seem to fast or is it okay because of my starting weight? I’m sure it will slow down at some point.

Answer

While it sounds fast, it most likely is some water weight and won’t always be at this pace. It seems okay given all the factors.

The better question is how do you feel? Are you feeling tired and under nourished? Are you lacking energy? While fasting can leave you feeling that way for the first bit but you’ve been going a few weeks and if it’s continuously feeling “not great” it may be s but to fast, but if you feel okay, keet at it! :)

Answer

Based on your starting weight people do tend to lose more early on. Your numbers are very similar to mine. January 30 300.4 February 13 294.6 February 20 288.3. But for me I want the trend to last for as long as possible. Good luck
