Answer

The idea that red wine has positive health benefits is mostly a myth. Often this claim is made based on the fact that resveratrol is found in red wine. But from what I understand, to get a sufficient dose of resveratrol from wine you would need to consume an excessively large volume everyday. In order to get a sufficient, effective dose of resveratrol It is likely necessary to supplement via an extract or concentrate.

Aside from that detail, even if it did provide benefit there’s no reason to think that a singular food/drink item would be more beneficial to your overall health than a well rounded fitness routine.

Answer

Red wine has several benefits, but I’ve never seen anything about Intake Vs Physical Activity.

It has some benefits for the heart but it should always be ingested in small amounts, for physical activity actually alcohol is not a good idea as even small amounts affect blood oxygenation which leads to cramps, pain and excess glucose expenditure.

Answer

a lot of the benefits from wine come from resveratrol. but theres just as much resveratrol in the same quantity of grape juice or grapes.

100ml of wine = 100ml of grape juice = 100g of grapes

at the high end its 0.71mg of resveratrol per 100ml of wine. a $2 resveratrol capsule contains 1g. thats 1,400 times more.
