how is it different,?
1 is an hour longer 🙃 I normally eat everyday at 12pm (OMAD) 23:1. I’m normally finished by 1pm. If I want to achieve a full 24 hour I need to fast an additional hour the following day. So instead of eating at 12 I would eat at 1pm the following day.
Edit: The “1” in 23:1 just indicates the amount of time for eating. It’s the 1 hour you are loosing (eating window) from a full 24 hours.
The concept of a 24 hr fast is weird to me. Imo it’s actually 23:1 but people call it 24hr. Bc idk how a 24hr will actually work day in & day out. If you stop @ 5:00PM on Monday, you’d resume Tuesday at 5:00PM - & stop @ 6:00PM Tuesday. Which means you’d start at 6:00PM Wednesday, stop @ 7:00. By Thursday you’d start eating at 7:00, end @ 8:00P. Friday rolls in @ you wait until 8:00 to start eating.
23:1 allows you to eat at the same time each day (same with 47:1 etc etc) and you can “roll them” (back to back to back whilst still eating at noon for example)
23:1 is one meal a day
24 fast is exactly what is says it is.
Imo 23:1 sounds and looks more aesthetic than OMAD.
(I’m rolling 71:1s)
