Is there an ideal fasting schedule for clear skin and no acne?

I eat healthy, have a skin care routine and am physically active but still get acne on my face and back. Is there an ideal fasting schedule to help with this? OMAD, rolling fasts 36hr+? Extended fasts 5 days+?

Answer

Everyone says go to a dermatologist for acne, but I went to several over the years, using retin-a etc and still had it. Once I started going to an esthetician who specialized in treating acne, I was clear within three months.

I learned things from my esthetician that the derms never mentioned. Such as avoiding dietary acne triggers (peanuts, seaweed and dairy are the biggest culprits), and check all of your skincare/makeup products for pore clogging ingredients (google it). At the least, I would say go to a dermatologist and an esthetician regularly (I go every month or so) for facials and extractions.

If you’re a woman 30+ getting jawline breakouts it could be hormonal, you might need to visit a doctor to get on anti androgens. Also some forms of hormonal birth control can worsen acne.
