Is there any advantage to vinegar if you're already doing LCHF?

I recently discovered his website via the diet doctor website and have been obsessed with reading his blog for a week now. I read his posts regarding vinegar but they seemed to be mainly discussing the advantages of vinegar for those who are not doing LCHF in that insulin doesn’t spike as much when they eat carbs. But if I’m already doing LCHF are there still advantages to adding extra vinegar to my diet? I would check his books but I’ve only just ordered them this week and haven’t received them yet.

Answer

There are lots of articles on the internet about the many health benefits of apple cider vinegar. I guess it depends on what your goals are.

Even if you are doing LCHF, ACV will help lower postprandial blood glucose by 30+%. This is helpful with keeping insulin low which helps with insulin resistance, weight loss, etc. If you are diabetic this is very helpful for lowering a1c. Other benefits include lowering cholesterol and helping with satiety.

I take 2 tbsp ACV in water before meals. With so many healthful benefits, I can’t think of a reason not to!
