Is this a sign of eating disorder?

Doing rolling 72s and refeeding with 1000c keto food but not swallowing it? Just chewing and feeling the taste and spitting it out. Anyone tried this?

Answer

I used to chew/spit when my eating disorder was really bad, when I was desperate for food but also weight loss. Just because I did it while deep into my ED, doesnt exactly mean ED behavior. But… It’s definitely abnormal.

Ask yourself why do you feel like doing it? It is definitely not refeeding.

Answer

Signaling your brain und guts that food will come with chewing it and then spitting it out is a bad trickery. You salivate, get your insuline up, your gastric juices going and then nothing passes down is destabilizing your instincts and tricking your body. I would not recommend it.

It’s disgusting is what it is. If you are eating in a way that you wouldn’t around people at a restaurant or dinner party, you are probably on the way to an eating disorder. What would your mother say if she saw you chewing up food and spitting it out just to get the taste?
