Is this the right way to drink snake juice?

Hi everyone,

I follow the official (probably) recipe of snake juice, that is:

1/2 tsp sodium chloride (I use iodized salt)

1 tsp potassium (I use potassium pill)

1 tsp sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)

1/2 tsp magnesium sulphate (epsom salt)

0.5 L water. This is especially what I’m concerned about because I see people are mixing all of the above with 2L. It’s easier for me with 0.5L

And another mainstream question would be.. is it okay if I drink it all within one hour and not distribute it throughout the entire day?

Thank you very much in advance.

Answer

It dosent happen that way. You need to study what electrolytes are and what is there role in our body. Drinking that all within hour is sure short way to get diarrhoea, it will just out from your system without getting absorbed.

You have to take it sip by sip then and now. Its okay if you are doing 0.5lt of water, but then you have to be very sure not to drink alot of it at once.

You can also do 0.5 lt of snake juice and 1-2lt of normal water w/o snake juice, but be sure you drink your sj by the end of the day if you are doing so.

what do you mean you use potassium pill?

I would take out the baking soda and epsom salts. Don’t overcomplicate it.

No, it’s not ok if you drink it all at once. The snake diet isn’t about consuming the salts, it’s about the fasting. Drink it throughout the day, when you feel the need. If you can develop a good fasting routine without the salts, all the better. The salts just help maintain your electrolytes/energy on longer fasts.

Don’t kill yourself trying to pound salt. That’s not what this is about.
