So, here’s something I learned years ago. I still carry it with me and preach it to others. And it might even be a stoic thing…
While we cannot control what might happen to us, we CAN control how let it affect us. I’m currently 53 and this has been my mantra for at least 35+ years: “like water off a duck”, meaning don’t let life’s setbacks dictate YOUR behavior/ reaction. Be the YOU you need to be.
Another life lesson I learned way back then: Fuck ‘em if they can’t take a joke, and that applies even if there was no joke.
You are the only person in your life who can dictate your behavior and reactions. And this also applies to IF and fasting in general. You are your driving force. No matter what life throws at you, shrug it off and keep doing YOU!!
