The first week I lost 9 pounds and by the end of the second week I’ve been fluctuating and haven’t lost any weight since week 1
I’m an idiot. Just trying to spark thought.
Maybe your body, thinking it’s starving, is storing fat to prevent starvation.
During your 8 hour eating window are you eating healthy food?
Are you exercising? I’ve read if you exercise in the morning, it sets your body to burn fat the rest of the day. Maybe wake up and workout before your window.
I’m not looking for answers, just spark thoughts for you. Again I’m an idiot that enjoys experimenting with my own diet/workout regime. Good luck!
What is your diet?
If you are still eating lots of carbs, processed foods and sugar….on 16:8 you likely won’t see a lot of benefits from IF.
One of the goals of fasting is baselining your insulin levels so your body can convert to using fat stores as a fuel. Insulin is a storage hormone and if you’re like a lot of us…your consumed carbs most of your life…and insulin has likely been high a lot. Some of our bodies fight that change with great vigor…so I recommend doing keto, getting fat adapted, and you will see the power of fasting on your body.
