Juice vs water

Hi, I’m pretty new to this group. I have done juice fasts in the past but I’m reading on here that those are broken fasts and fast should only be with water (or air) I’ve added a day of just water in my juice fasts but never imagined doing a longer water day.

I thought juicing was beneficial as I could drink more spinach and kale than I could ever eat. Usually get great. Energy boost and weight loss but what are the benefits of water only that juice can’t do? Are you working while just fasting? It’s hard for me to keep up 2 weeks of juice (15 days has been the longest) while trying to keep up with life activities. Or do you plan a week stay vacation of sort to start.

Answer

There are quite a few good videos on YouTube from doctors that specialize in the science of fasting. You should peruse a few of them. I’m not familiar with vegetable juice fasting but you are, so you are in better position to see what water fasting does (from a professional standpoint) and see if it is your cup of tea.

Because you can still drink tea and black coffee on a water fast :)
