Jumped into dry fasting after keto meal the day before and wow...

I feel ticked. I’m hungry, annoyed and generally apathetic. A cold bowl of honey bunches of oats sounds like heaven at this moment. I can almost feel that crunch.

I suspected this type of feeling would happen but i wasn’t prepared for this INTENSITY. Especially given the fact that every other dry fast I’ve done before was after basically carb-loading (i love carbs).

Getting into ketosis sooner than what I’m used to is going to take some getting used to. But this is good. The faster the body switch to ketones the better.

Typing this post out to redirect the feeling. Planning to complete the full day of DF but we’ll see how I’m feeling. The irritability may not be sustainable lol.

Cheers

Update: I’m feeling now what i would normally feel day 2 or 3 of a dry fast. Those who’ve experimented with different foods before fasting will know what I mean.

Weird. Opposite for me.Best way for me to start is having last meal mid afternoon… so I’m going to bed about 8 hours into the fast, and keeping that meal keto.By the time I wake up, I’m 16-18 hours into the fast, and ketosis is rocking.

I feel you. I’m on day 4 of 7 for my first extended dry fast. I think my longest previous was 48hrs. Have done a couple of 5-day water/snake fasts. Gorged on carbs Thursday, then ate keto Friday and Saturday before starting the dry fast. Hunger hasn’t been too much of a problem, but the dry mouth and thirst is really starting to get to me. Trying hard not to fade. I’m dreaming about the salt water that I finally get to consume on Saturday night. Feels like an eternity away.
