Junk food = Hunger pains

I used to do alternate day fasting, but a few months ago I switched to eating every day, but only eating in the morning, fasting in the evening.

I usually eat very healthy food (avocado, broccoli, fruits, egg, yeast, flax, etc)

But today, I decided to get a huge bag of chips, and eat it all in one sitting. (Hey, I am fasting afterwords anyway right? Why so why would it matter?)

I didn’t realize what kind of hunger pains this would cause me. I haven’t had significant hunger pains in several months.

After going through this, I realize many people starting out with intermittent fasting might also be eating a bit of junk food thinking it will be fine… Nope!

Thank you for this post! I was afraid something like that would happen! This is why I don’t have cheating days or meals. Another one is that I’m afraid that I would just slide to the old eating habits and was not able to return on IF.Are you doing well? Did you jump in on IF wagon?

I mean… Junk food has very high calories. I do eat chips or similar stuff but it used to be like 3-4x a week 6 months back and now it’s like once in 2 weeks & the quantity is significantly less because I have a daily calorie budget.

100 gms of plain salted potato chips has like 550-600 calories. That’s like one meal of good food. It helps to think of it this way!
