Just Broke 14 Day Fast

I primarily drank water (@ least 2L daily w/ LMNT electrolytes), had black coffee a few days, and green tea twice. My sleep was atrocious Day 7-10 so I started taking L-Theanine (400mg) which helped a lot!

Overall I lost 13.8 lbs and 8.5 inches. I think it was absolutely worth it; the hardest part was thinking about food and what to fill my time with when I wasn’t eating.

I actually broke my fast last night with ginger tea & MCT oil. I woke up and saw that I lost an additional 0.8 lbs. This morning I had coffee w/ ghee and MCT oil, then a couple hours later I had chicken bone broth with ginger, turmeric, and a splash of olive oil. An hour later I had some kimchi. Later I will make a bowl of kimchi stew without tofu (abstaining from soy as much as possible) and extra veggies as the kimchi did not irritate my stomach.

I’m confident in my abilities to become fat adapted. Might annoy a few coworkers that I don’t want to go out drinking - but it’ll definitely be worth it in the future!

Wow amazing how did you feel I’m trying to get under 200 for my birthday in a few weeks. I’m 209 right now. How did you function with sleep and is water flavour like koolaid okay zero cals? I don’t like the after taste of mio Lool

Wow, awesome! I’m 70 hours into my very first extended fast. All I have been doing is 24oz of Na & K solution with magnesium pill (as suggested in the Wiki). I keep checking my waist but not my weight lol. How long into it did you start seeing the inches go down?
