Just completed my first 62 hours!!

I was originally planning on doing 3-4 days, opted for 72 but stopped half an hour ago. I noticed that my urine got darker and heard it was signaling the start of dehydration in the body, is that true?

Anyways that was my first prolonged dry fast and ngl I felt kinda awful at the evening of the second day right until the morning of the third. So I’m currently trying to adjust my body to liquid again and I heard you’re supposed to do 1 cup of water every 30 minutes for 2 hours.

Had my first now and I feel so unbelievably energetic again, is this a good or a bad sign? I enjoyed dry fasting so far, mostly did 24 hours only before but that prolonged fast is really something I need to work towards.

On a side note, I must’ve been very hydrated because I lost about 4,8kg (11lbs?) in that period of time.

Just wanted to share this little achievement :)

Answer

Don’t worry about the color of your urine. That’s not a reason to break early.

Watch your heart rate and blood pressure. If heart rate goes up to 120/minute then break. For BP, consider breaking if your BP goes 25% above or below your baseline.

Nice work. Do that full 72 next time.
