kidney disease and fasting?

Hey! So to start i have been trying to fast on/off for years. But I’ve never been able to stick with it. I have a very rare earlyish stage kidney disease and I have tried what I think is everything to maintain a fast. Inclduing minerals and electrolytes in water making sure the last meal I ate was healthy/sufficient in calories. I am an engineer and on my feet all day but its almost like a varying points I hit a wall and I feel like i’m about to collapse, I have brain fog, I am moving slow. What am I doing wrong? I really want to become successful at IF but I almost feel I physically am incable at it. Sure enough, once I eat give it 30 mins and I’m absolutely fine.

Answer

What did your doctor say?

NAD but I’m worried that Ketosis could be dangerous for you. Don’t you have to be very careful with electrolytes? Not enough electrolytes contribute to the brain fog, but again, with the kidney issues, you need to talk to your doctor.
