Ladies, how do you IF on your period?

I’m curious about how others are doing this. This is my first month IF during my period.

I read an article online that said ladies should not water IF during your period, then I read another article that said you can water IF during your period but NOT the week before.

Ladies, does your fasting change during this time of the month? Do you jump from water IF to 16:8 instead? Do you quit fasting all together during this time?

If you’re on 16:8 to start with, do you keep at it while on your period?

Does your body feel weaker if you keep up the IF during your period?

Answer

Generally I still do it, but if I feel unbearably hungry then I’ll skip.

I usually have a day in a week or a fortnight where I skip IF anyway, just because of how my schedule is + spending time with friends and such (which is normally done over food and drinks), so it’s not a big deal for me if I feel I have to skip because I feel my body needs it.

Answer

The week before your period begins is typically the hardest because of hormonal levels at that time.

Recently I had a period and the week before I was unsuccessful keeping to my daily fasting 5 days out of that week. The week of my actual period was easier.

Do remember your body replenishes your uterine lining with blood, and you then need to replenish your iron stores.

Answer

I usually accidentally fast before my period because I’m so bloated and uncomfortable. Day one, all bets are off because I’m just needing to get through the day. I restart my fast usually on day four or five.

Answer

My cycle does not affect my intermittent fasting schedule. It does sometimes feel harder to fast around my period because I get major munchies, but I just double down on my determination and trudge through. The long and the short of it is that Intermittent fasting has not had any effect on my cycle and my cycle has not had any effect on my intermittent fasting.

Answer

I just follow my plan, regardless of the timing of the month.

Apparently, hormonally, it’s easier to fast from the first day of your period and the next 13 days. On day 14 you ovulate. Then the body is trying to prep for a baby, so it can be harder to fast.

Idgaf, I just follow my plan. But I’m not tryna have babies, lol.
