Long Fasts and Electrolytes

I’m doing my first long fast (41 hours) and so far so good (except my husband stole the Nespresso and took it back to work). Anyhoo, my question is wrt electrolytes. I read in the files that it is key to a long fast so was going to take Rehydrate but my MiL suggested what the Root Cause Protocol use which is orange juice, Epsom salts and salt. Is it cheating to drink the juice of one orange? Or is it acceptable for the reasons I am drinking it? It is watered down

The best benefits of fasting are lost if you introduce calories. Your body will not switch to metabolize fats as efficiently as it could. Spiking your insulin can actually make you hungrier than a fast state.

For a 41-hour fast you don’t really need electrolytes. If you are not replenishing them your body does a good job at holding onto them for a few days.
